This project never got completed, obviously. The pattern survived at least one washing so far!
The mint in front of my house has started coming up. I couldn’t resist bringing a few sprigs inside. This is the shelf above the sink in my kitchen. I bought this sweet little vase a few months ago at a thrift store. I have a “thing” for those sweet pink flowers tinged with gold – such little time capsules.
Many of the doilies in this touring home were made by Vivian J. Barlow, son of the original builder, who was the son of the founder of the town of Barlow, Kentucky. It’s unknown if he made this one or not, but it’s obvious it is hand made..
I received this as a Christmas gift in 2012, from a family member who had traveled to Poland earlier that year.
